1. Discuss the epidemiology and pathophysiology of mammalian-bite wounds;
2. Identify key components in the evaluation and treatment of mammalian-bite wounds; and
3. Describe key concepts in postexposure prophylaxis for rabies and other transmissible diseases that are of concern in mammalian-bite wounds.

AAFP accreditation begins July 1, 2015. Term of approval is for one year from this date. Each issue is approved for 4 Prescribed credits.
