Carl R. Baum, MD, FAAP, FACMT

Carl R. Baum, MD, FAAP, FACMT, is Professor of Pediatrics and of Emergency Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. He completed residency training in Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and dual fellowships in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology at Boston Children’s Hospital. He serves on the Executive Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Council on Environmental Health, and is an appointee of the American Board of Pediatrics on the Medical Toxicology Subboard. In 2018, he was appointed to the National Biodefense Science Board of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
