Deborah Liu

Dr. Deborah Liu has been an attending at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for 13 years and served as Fellowship Director 9 years. More recently, Dr. Liu now serves as Director of Process Improvement for the ED. Her duties include improving efficiency and throughput, as well as supervising, training, and deploying the Emergency Department Associate (EDA) physicians and Nurse Practitioners. Her research interests include Just-In-Time Training for medical education, ED utilization for non-urgent complaints, and analgesia. She has also authored 17 PEM or EM textbook chapters, and was an Associate Editor for the 2017 edition of the PEM Question Review Book. If she is not thinking about work, she is often thinking or talking about food or her children.
