Daniel J. Egan, MD, FACEP

Daniel J. Egan, MD, FACEP received his undergraduate degree from The College of New Jersey in 1998 and his medical school degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2002. At Mount Sinai, Dr. Egan was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Egan completed his residency at the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency program at Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospitals where he was also chief resident. Currently, Dr. Egan is Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the program director for the Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Roosevelt emergency medicine residency. Dr. Egan is active within the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors and co-chair of the Remediation Task Force as well as the Academic Assembly Planning Committee for the Best Practices Track. He is co-author of Blueprints Emergency Medicine and co-editor of Essential Emergency Trauma. Dr. Egan is a faculty member of the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute Clinical Education Initiative providing educational sessions related to HIV and post-exposure prophylaxis.
