ATLANTA — September 3, 2026 — Residência de Medicina de Emergência do Ceará, an emergency medicine residency program in Fortaleza, Brazil, has incorporated EB Medicine’s peer-reviewed publications into its curriculum to expand residents’ access to evidence-based clinical education.
The program, which is affiliated with Escola Cearense de Emergência Médica (ECEM) and SOCEMU, provides residents with complimentary access to Emergency Medicine Practice and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Practice when they join the program.
The effort is led by Frederico Arnaud, MD, an emergency physician and coordinator of the residency program. A subscriber to Emergency Medicine Practice since 2013, Dr. Arnaud worked with EB Medicine to incorporate its content into the program.
Each month, the program uses a recent EB Medicine publication to guide a clinical discussion on a topic important to emergency medicine. These sessions make engagement with current evidence a regular part of residents’ training.
“EB Medicine is one of the most valuable learning tools we use in our emergency medicine residency program here in Fortaleza,” said Dr. Arnaud. “We are grateful for the role it plays in our residents’ education.”
“We are proud to support Dr. Arnaud and the emergency medicine residents in Fortaleza,” said Stephanie Williford, CEO of EB Medicine. “Providing access is important, but access has the greatest impact when a leader makes education a visible and consistent priority. Dr. Arnaud has created a meaningful way for residents to engage with current evidence and bring that learning into their clinical practice.”
The relationship reflects EB Medicine’s broader commitment to making rigorous, evidence-based clinical education available to emergency medicine clinicians and trainees worldwide.
