Lauren Page Black, MD, MPH
Lauren Page Black, MD, MPH is a research fellow and clinical postdoctoral associate in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville. Prior to starting her fellowship, she graduated as Chief Resident from the same institution. Her research interests include vasopressor initiation in septic shock and predictors of organ dysfunction in sepsis. Dr. Black received her undergraduate degree in chemistry and neuroscience from Vanderbilt University. She earned a Master of Public Health in global health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She received her medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Outside of work she enjoys traveling and hanging out with her dog, Chase. She continues to hope that hospitals will adopt a canine-friendly office culture because Chase really enjoys doing statistics.
